Ministries for ALL Ages

Sunday School is for all ages....from infants under the tender care of our nursery workers, to our 2-3 year old class, and through the adult class....every age will enjoy learning more about God in their Sunday School classes.  Please join us for a special time gathered around God's Word to learn exciting Bible stories and/or principles that will encourage and uplift you!

C.I.A, (Character In Action) is for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.  The program is an hour and a half each Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30, and consists of three thirty-minute segments: Class time, Game time, and Bible time.

The main emphasis during the class time is upon teaching our young people Christian character traits from God's Word. Each child has a handbook from which they learn and quote character trait definitions and corresponding Bible verses. As a result, they earn points toward team awards, c-money to be used in the c-store, and credit toward individual awards.

Game time is a time of fellowship and great fun for all the kids as they participate in an innumerable host of exciting games. There is a different theme for each week that usually corresponds with the games we play on that night. It has been said that anything we do while we are having fun sticks with us. This is one of the purposes for the game segment, along with enforcing other important character qualities.

Bible time is a time of announcements, singing, crafts, and teaching from God's Word. This is another opportunity to instill within our young people the character traits found within the Bible.

The theme for CIA - “Character In Action," is taken from Matthew 5:16 and really summarizes the overall goal and purpose of this ministry.

Youth Group: Our Junior and Senior High Teens,
grades 7 - 12, meet every Wednesday evening at 7:00
for a great time of Bible study, fellowship, food and fun.
In addition to the Wednesday night meetings, there are
retreats, special outings and many other fun activities all
designed to promote spiritual development and character
in our young people.

After School Good News Club:  Our Bible club meets every Monday after school at Hillendale Elementary. The club is designed to reach boys and girls in the public school system who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mens Bible Study.....Every first and third Saturday of each month our men gather together for a time of fellowship and study of God's Word. Our time begins at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast and fellowship followed by a challenging time in the Word from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. This has proven to be a very blessed time of encouragement and growth for all of the men involved. You have a cordial invitation to join us. Call (610) 388-1325 for more details.

The ladies of Chadds Ford Baptist Church meet the second Tuesday of each month September through June. The meetings start at 7:00 p.m. and are held at ladies' homes and sometimes at the Church. We give you a cordial invitation to join us for: fellowship, a time in God's Word, testimonies, refreshments, prayer, and ministry-related discussions.

Some examples of areas we serve: nursery, missionary projects, social functions, missionary cupboard, college student care packages, church flowers, sending cards to church families and friends (Sunshine) and our "Helping Hands" ministry (meals, childcare and/or household help to those in need). We kick off the new year with a ladies luncheon in September. We hope to see you. Call the church office for details on locations of meetings: (610) 388-1325

Women’s Christian Fellowship:

At least once a quarter, our precious senior saints meet for some fun, fellowship and encouragement from God's Word. We have a good, godly group of saints who are actively involved in this local assembly and enjoy a wide range of activities designed to minister to one another and others. For more details, call the church office: (610) 388-1325.

Seniors For Christ:

Chadds Ford has several areas of music ministry, including choir and special music for our worship services and other church services.  We are committed to conservative and traditional Christian music governed by the principles of God's Word. We do not have any contemporary music. Philippians 4:8 provides general guidelines in this area. It must be "true, honest and faithful" in its representation of the Word of God. It should be "pure," not a mixture of the world's music with a few Christian words sprinkled in, but "just and pure," reflecting the righteousness and holiness of God. It should be "lovely" and "of good report" revealing God's character, and without offense, meeting God's standard of excellence (Philippians 1:10). Good Christian music should always complement the preaching of the Word and good sound doctrine, rather than mood or experience (2 Timothy 4:2-4). The emphasis of the music should be on reflecting the glory of God, rather than on a driving beat or performance-style presentation by musicians and vocalists (1 Corinthians 10:31).

For those seeking to glorify God with their talents, many opportunities are available at Chadds Ford Baptist, including Adult Choir, Youth Choirs, Special Music, etc.
